Night #2 at Party in the Park at MRP

Day #2 of the Moler Raceway Park festival included the first ever appearance by Crate Late Models and while the car count was low there was a good battle on the racetrack with Chad Stapleton taking his second feature win on the weekend in late model action. Friday night Stapleton would win in his own #32 machine but on this night he would drive the #9 31 Auto Group crate to the 15 lap feature victory. Tom Collini would come home second with heat race winner Jeff Alsip coming in third with Jerry Gibson Jr and Brian Sims completing the top five spots.

In the Matt's Graphics UMP Modified division it looked as though Ryan Morton was going to claim victory in his first appearance of 2015 but a lap #12 restart allowed Bethel, Ohio's Dave McWilliams to find a new lane up against the outside wall that he would patiently work to inch closer and closer before finally taking the lead on the final lap and claiming victory in his L&M Performance backed Badfast Chassis. Morton would come home second with Boog Verdon with a career best 3rd place finish while Larry Pickelheimer and Patrick Alcorn completed the top five spots.

The Diamond Cut Lawn Care Sport Mods would see Andy Trout take the lead from Mitchell Fields on lap #1 and go on to claim his second feature win on the season in his Seip's Carquest Auto Parts, A&J Liquid Graphics,Jones Farm, Puckett's Tire and Lube, Elizanda Lumber sponsored machine. Fields would come home in second spot with Glenn Keaton, Bethany Moler, and Burt Crawford completing the top five spots. Fields won the heat race while Tony Seibert won the Dash event.

A large field of cars were on hand for the DRC Crazy Compacts and it was Jason Borgemenke of Lynchburg,Ohio and Bobby Stamper of Middletown, Ohio taking heat race wins and setting the lineup for the $500 to win event. At the green flag it was Stamper getting the jump and leading the field but Florence,Ky's Michael Hensley would take the lead on lap #4 and go on to take his second win of 2015 season driving the TJ's Mobile Computing Dirtstar Photo's, Dalton Property Maintenance sponsored DGM machine. Stamper would come home second with Tony Reed, Borgemenke, and Drew Thiel completing the top five positions.

The Tarvin Auto Service Freedom 4's would completing the weekend of racing with a 15 lap event and it was once again Sean Jones taking the win for the 4th time this season. Josh Davis would come home in second spot with Eric Weaver, Mike Clark, and Steven Pursley completing the top five spots. Davis won the heat race while Pursley won the Diamond Cut Lawn Care Dash event.

Fans were treated to some World's Best Wrestling sanctioned wrestling before the racing program started and a concert by the band Avanti to close out the night.
